Paint Shop Pro X - opening GIFs

Hi there!

I have Paint Shop Pro X installed. I know it's a bit of an older program now, but hopefully someone might have some insight into this

Whenever I open a GIF file in PSPX, the background is always black, no matter what color the image's transparent color was saved as, etc.

It's the same thing for GIF files I save from the internet and then try to open in PSPX.

Is there a way to change the color that PSPX displays "transparency" as when opening a GIF file? Could I make it so it displays as the normal grayish transparency grid?
