I upgraded from my old Ulead and can't find some of the panels/input menus in VideoStudio Pro 8. In Ulead, there was a "Moving Path" interface that was accessed by right clicking the clip. Where is this in VideoSutdio 8? I looked it up in Help and there was a section on Direction, but there was no icon in the Options Panel for this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the awful suspicion that you are in the wrong forum, and that instead of Video Studio, you are really talking about Movie Studio Pro. Look in the Board index for that forum. For what it is worth, Video Studio -- as opposed to Movie Studio Pro -- has never had moving path (unless you count the recent addition of a similar sort of filter -- the New Blue P-n-P one -- to Video Studio X3.)

Re: where is Moving path input panel in VideoStudio 8?
My software is Corel VideoStudio Pro X3. There is a "moving path" function and it is in the Picture in Picture attribute. I am trying to move a clip in over a background video. I can use PIP to do this, but is leaves a black border in the PIP frame. I suppose I can chroma key it out, but it just seems to be a difficult way to get this done. If I use the Overlay Track, I can only use the Enter/Exit functions on the panel - no custom motion.
Also, I tried to use the reflection and the neon border options in the PIP option panel. This looks great in the PIP panel, but when I play it back from the editor, the both attributes look hard-edged and clumsy. I tried reducing the both the reflection and the border width but that didn't help.
And the user interface in the PIP options panel is driving me crazy. I choose a keyframe and input numeric values in the input boxes, but the numeric values are not held. I have to use the little dial and it is extremely diificult to get the exact values.
Please just bear with me. I am new to this version and trying to find my way around. There are probably very efficient ways to get the effects that I'm looking for. I'm hoping there are others who can share their experiences.
Thanks,
Beverly

Re: where is Moving path input panel in VideoStudio 8?
I agree that New Blue's GUI could use some work. However the values you enter in the input boxes will hold if you hit the TAB key on your computer to move to the next field. I've found that to highlight/select the value in one of the fields, it is easier to tab past the one I want to change, then using the keyboard, hit [Shift} + [Tab] to move backward. So basically you navigate through the various input boxes using the Tab key, just like a database program.
Another thing I wished they would add, is the ability to copy/paste keyframes. If you want to hold an effect for a second or two, you must recreate the keyframe properties a second time. With VS filters, all you do is copy the one and paste it later in the keyframe timeline.
