Encoding Sports - Blurry Video

Post by JamesU2002 »

Hi,

I'm trying to Encode a video of Soccer, which is obviously very fast paced.

The original video quality is fine but when I encode the final edit out as WMV HD, the video becomes some what blurry when the camera is panning rather quickly.

I'm also uploading them to Vimeo, I have a plus account, they prefer MP4 but I have no idea how to export in HD to MP4.

I'm using Ulead Video Studio 11 Plus.

Here is the Origianl Files' information is and also what the encode settings are:

Original File Info, No Blurryness:

Encoding Output Settings, where the blurry video happens:

Am I setting anything wrong? Perhaps keyframes are wrong? Frame buffer? Anything not ticked, or shouldn't be ticked?

Any help will be great.

Thanks,
Black Lab

You are taking an HD clip and rendering it to SD quality (7000 kbps). I guess the quality would not be as good.

BTW - H.264 is MPEG-4. Set project properties to match first clip. That should set the project to H.264 (MPEG-4). Then render your project to same as project settings.
