PSPPX3 Ultimatge

Post by jaxman »

First COREL releases that piece of SH** they call X3, full of bugs that they appear to be in no hurry to fix. Now Corel release the Ultimate version of X3 for 99.00 (49.00 upgrade) with no mention of any fixes, but "packed with move than $200.00 in valuable extras". Now I'm wondering if all effort will be to the ultimate version which we will have to buy to get any bug fixes. I really miss JASC. :x

The Ultimate version is only ultimate because of the extra software. It's not the same thing as when they did version 12.5 for the ultimate edition.

So it's the exact same software and those of us with the original X3 will get the exact same patch as those with the X3 Ultimate. And I've really enjoyed these KPT filters.

So again the only difference between X3 and X3 Ultimate is the extra software. Actually, scratch that, the sales person at Corel told me that X3 also has all of the patches that the rest of us have to download. But fixes are still planned and both will receive them.

X3 was really buggy for me at least upon first release. Now having installed the patches it works rather well, with a bug here or there but nothing too bad.

Corel's out to make a buck, no doubt about it. The fact that "Ultimate" is something of a plug-in more than serious code that alters the program makes me hopeful that the standard version will by default be patched when the Ultimate version gets patched. But that's just me being hopeful. In reality they are already working on X4.

In reality? Do you have an inside person we don't know about df? :P :D

Yes they are working on X4 most likely, a complete assumption on my part there, but there is a planned patch. I have double checked this, there is still a planned patch that will update X3. So replace your hope with confidence it will be patched again.

When can we expect this patch? and if what will it fix? I have been thinking for a long time they would fix some things that definitely need fixing bad.

There is no planned release date. Only a planned patch. There are no details I can give you at this point.
