Hi Everyone

Hope someone can help me out? :( Am having the same problems as some of you guys/girls with Corel DVD Factory 2010 shutting down with Pro X3!
Got in touch with Corel :( :( - Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! Gave me about a 1001 tasks to perform, only got the weekend off! Have tried to download the Movie Factory 7 SE, but just as I think this is the answer to all my problems I get another message saying " Installer can not find Corel Video Studio Pro X3 on your machine"
Haven't got a clue what to do next? Might go back to my old reliable X2!

Any help gladly appreciated!!! :) :) :)

This sounds like VideoStudio may not be installed correctly on your system.

Launch VideoStudio Pro X3 Advanced editor
At the top right corner you will see an arrow pointing down with little circles surrounding it, click on it to launch the Corel Guide Menu.
At the top right of the Corel Guide Menu select the little gear and select "About Corel VideoStudio Pro X3"

On the next screen you should be able to find your version number and also serial number, if they are not listed there then this would mean the install did not go through correctly.

If you can find the version number and also the serial number on that screen can you please post the version number and weather or not you were able to view your serial number?

Many thanks for your reply Rob :)

Have spoken to about 3 - 4 different customer service agents from corel about this problem with and each one in turn came up with a different solution :roll: :roll:
I did mention several times that the serial number on the 'About Corel' was not readable and kinda thought that this was fairly important, but not one of them picked up on this and more or less shurgged it off when I mentioned it, apart from you :D :D
Out of frustration I decided to pay the ultimate scrafice and reinstal my computer and then reinstal VS X3 and guess what :?: :?: :?: Its all up and running smoothly now.
I dont know and probably never will, what caused this problem :?:
