Upgrade 8 to 9

I love Upgrades! At the end of my upgrade from 8 to 9, I'm told to go to the Ulead site and download 4 additional software packs: Smartsound; 3D-SE;
DVD Disk Recorder 2.1; DVD Bonus Pack. I find some downloadable programs that have names close too these, but not exactly. One would think that Ulead would have provided a single link to download all these titles. If
they did, I cannot find it. Can someone point me in the right direction?!

Don't go to the Ulead website directly to try to download anything, use Tools -> Smart Download...

Thanks THoff! Wouldn't it had been nice if Ulead had posted that little
tip at the end of the upgrade process, when the message displayed to download the four additional programs. Thanks again.

mmmh, I'm considering upgrading 8 to 9, but reading this...
My video editing machine is not configured for internet.
I access virii only with a win98 machine reserved for that purpose.
So downloads from within VS would not be possible. Then?

Do what I did and order the boxed version. Saves a lot of frustration and headaches.

The boxed discs are the way to go - everything you need on two discs - and a very easy installation.

well yeah, this is europe, box will cost me shipping and taxes on top of the price, download not. Big % in price difference

Lessee:
50 $ download (affordable)
100.50$ box (50$ + 30$ per purchase + 3$ per item + 17.50$ tax), not affordable, better buy full in a shop. Oh and I forgot 10% export fee...

If I start from the temporary price from UK the % is still higher.

Where in Europe ???

You can get from Element 5 in Germany or Amazon in UK at very reasonable post and packing. and where did you get those prices from - the basic price for a boxed version and a download are the same

Or in the UK large computer stores stock it

Believe me it's well worth it.

Work in Taiwan (zero tax by download) but currently need it in Belgium.
So even without any delivery cost, just buying it here cost 21% more.
I don't throw 21+% out of the window for hobby, I have a family too.

right Brian, that's what I wrote :
50$ start price equal to download price +
30$ per purchase, economy, priority is 50! +
3$ per item shipping from the Element5 buy page
+10% export
+ 21% Belgian VAT, exactly 110.48 dollar, same proportion in euros

let's do it from UK
26.31 euro download
36.63 box + 14.91 shipping = 51.54 or 196% of download; forget it
