Did you remember to Delete the two Ulead System Folders before you tried to install?
Aslo delete that key after the Temp file, as it seems to be holding some failed install files.
DOES THIS WORK ON WINDOWS XP?

Actually every Application leaves garbage behind.
C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Data\Ulead Systems\ (delete the Ulead Systems folder and all contents).
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\ (delete the Ulead Systems folder and all contents).
C:\ Documents and Settings\your name\Local Settings\Temp\ (delete any Numerical Binary folders and contents). In the Temp Folder delete all *.tmp, *.xml, and any file with *.xx_ an unerscore for the last file extension, but DO NOT Delete the Temp Folder. Do not delete the following files in the Temp folder, *.msp, *mtx, *.dat, and Log files, as Norton and MS store download info.

edit* it worked when i opened it..then i went back 2 it....and opened it and got that error again

it worked!! yes I been waiting 2 use my ulead again 4 a year now...hahaha thank you so much...I told a few other people about how great it is...2 of them even bought it their self...you are the best
and I really love this program..I tried using that other stuff that came with paint shop pro and even image ready...nothing compairs to this

ok so that same file sonicmpgvout.004 is where there error is at...so this is what i did...i dont use the dvd burner at all..but maybe 1 day i will...so i searched 4 the location of the file...the same file was located in 2 places...so i deleted 1 of em...and saved he other in a folder on my desktop i wrote down the location of the sonic file and saved it in a text document so i dont forget...so if i ever need 2 use the dvd stuff i can just drop the file back in where it goes so the program will work...the gif animator is working now...only thing is when i open it the sonic installation box comes up and ask 4 me 2 insert the disk which i dont have because the program came with my pc...so i just hit cancel and the gif animator works fine..i guess that was the only way 2 solve my problem...but why is the sonic stuff poping up when i open the gif animator
