Applying same efect to all images

Post by robinski »

I am making a new video and olan to use the same effect between all images. In 'Prperties' I have selected "Crossfade" as the default transition effect. When I attempt to edit not all of the effects are the same. What have I missed?
Many thanks,
Robin Chapple

Hi

The default transition effect will be applied to videos/images as they are inserted to the timeline.

Existing transition effects will remain as is.
Having said that..........
X2 and X3 has the capability of changing the effects in the timeline.

Right click the Cross Fade from the library

Hi Robin

Although you have selected Cross Fade as the default transition.
Make sure you have ticked the adjacent box marked “Automatically apply transition effect”

What version of Video Studio are you using?

Hi Robbin,

In VideoStudio X2 and X3 you can change the settings to add a transition when ever you place a clip on the main Video track.

VideoStudio X2

- Launch VideoStudio | File | Preferences... | Edit Tab | Down at the bottom you will see "Transition Effect". Place a check mark in the box to the left of "Automatically add transition effect" and then using the drop down below the last option change the transition effect your choice.

VideoStudio X3

- Launch VideoStudio Advanced Editor | Settings | Preferences... | Edit Tab | Down at the bottom you will see "Transition Effect". Place a check mark in the box to the left of "Automatically add trnasition effect" and then using the drop down below the last option change the transition effect your choice.

I am using version X2.

In the editor 'Crossfade' is not one of the displayed effect when I attempt to use the option 'Apply transition to all clips.'

Thanks,

Robin

At my seventh new start the same transition was applied to all images. I would like to understand why because I made no changes.

Thanks,

Robin

You right-clicked on the Cross-Fade FX ? When you right-click on any transition FX, you should get as the first option in the menu, Apply current effect to video track.
