Video Import Delay & Video-Audio Synchronization Issue

Post by oka »

Can someone please explain this to me? I made print-screens of the times it took me to import videos into different editors. The one I started to use, DVDMF7SE is the worse. It used to be the same with VSX3, but don't know what changed, now its only with DVDMF7SE. Please see attached image.

Secondly, my audio and video will not synchronize. I have been educated it would be my "unrobust" machine. Well, I downloaded two trial applications, not as sofisticated as VSX3, edited the video (properties in the attached image), the audio and video all synchronized, then I did the same in DVDMF7SE it did not synchronize. All were done on the same computer. Any explanation(s)? Bye the way, "Enable SmartProxy" in unchecked.

It appears that you're comparing apples to oranges here. DVD MF7SE is not a video editing program, where the others are. Why it is taking so long is a question that only Corel techs, programmers could provide an accurate answer to. In DVD MF7SE, are you agreeing to the pre-processing request when you insert your video file? If so that would be the answer to your question. I've noticed that it takes some time for this pre-processing. Not electing to pre-process, and the clips are inserted immediately. The video editors do not have the pre-process function.

Ron,

I don't think I am comparing "apples and oranges". This is why I tested video-editing and non-video editing softwares. The pre-processing thingy only happens with Corel's. When I first installed VSX3, it took about 15-20mins (timed) just to finish loading same video. Now it loads well, but last week, the same video took up to 4mins to load in VSX3. I think I was justified enough to try same caliber software. As you mentioned, this issue should be a Corel tech issue since it only happens with Corel video editing software.

Thanks for your time though.
