Can not insert MP3 as background music

Post by eltonvon »

Hi, I have a question:

When I add background music of my slideshow project, I can only choose from MF audio file; I want to use my own MP3 audio file as the background music. However, when I add MP3 files, it says "mismatch format, can not find the file". I tried to convert my MP3 into MPEG file, it also failed. Can anyone here help me out? Can the MF only add its own audio file as background music?

Thank you very much.

There are some known problems in Corel products with certain "flavours" of MP3 files - Rather than try and convert an MP3 audio file to a mpeg video file - have you tried converting your MP3 to a .wav file - I find that usually gets round the problem

Brian, thank you for your kind reply. I tried MP2, MPG, MPEG4, but did not try WAV (this is a big file). I'll try to convert MP3 to WAV and see if it's OK. Thanks!

Brian: I have to ask you one more question:

I tried conversion to WAV, it did work very well. Thank you! However, after I made 3 projects, the software had a new problem: Whatever music I insert/import, it does not have any sound. Seems the audio function is dead. Can you please help me out of this? By the way, how can I input Asian language on my project? I like the image quality of WF but seems it does not work well as Google Picasa and Windows DVD maker.

Thank you!
