X2 - vector object w/arrow key, preview font, edit hot keys

For users of PSP 8/9 that are upgrading to PSPX2 or 3, some changes to note:

The Pick Tool does not seem to work well with vector objects. You can add the original vector select object tool to your Tools toolbar:

- right mouse the menu bar, choose Customize
- click on Tools on the left, then scroll and click, drag the Object Selection tool over onto the Tools toolbar (default on the left side of window) and position where you want, let go of mouse
- click Close to close the customize dialog

I use the arrow keys ALOT to move objects around (especially vector ones), in PSP 8/9 you used the SHIFT key in combo to nudge the object in small increments, and SHIFT+CTRL to nudge in even smaller increments. Corel has changed this behaviour for PSPX2+, when you use the Object Selection tool as above, just arrow keys nudges in the smallest increments, SHIFT+arrow keys is a slighter bigger nudge and SHIFT+CTRL is the biggest nudge...a reverse of previous behaviour.

I still use PSP9 primarily, but in my infinite wisdom, installed X2 on my new laptop to bring with me on vacation...not the wisest thing I have done!!! I have not purchased X3 yet as I have heard too many horror stories...lol in its own time, I am sure it will be good. PSP always had a reputation for being good only every other version, ie, 7 and 9 (best versions ever) but not 6 or 8 .

If you're into hot-keys I think it fun to note that the object tool's hotkey is still assigned to the Object Tool in PSPP.

Well I never used the Object Selection Tool in the other versions of Paint Shop Pro so I don't know if it's the same one. But the hotkey is 'O' adding it to the tool bar is great as it gives you the option to click a button as well as use the hotkey. But just thought I'd throw that out there. I now use this hotkey when I work with vectors for the very reason you've noted, the Pick Tool does not pick up the slack of the Object Selection tool like it's supposed to.

Before I found out about the Object Selection Tool I was selecting the other vector tools to act as the object selector.
