Video Studio Pro X3 sync problem

Post by ixi »

Hi,

I am using Video Studio Pro X3 and have installed the patches.

Created video and plays perfectly in project mode, but when i go to share video and create a video file the video file it creates has much of the audio and video out of sync. Thi shappens no matter what type of video file i save it as. I have also tried turning smart render off and still the same problem.

Below are the video file types that make up my project

File Format: PAL HDMV
Video Type: H.264 Video, Upper Field First
Video Attributes: 24 bits, 1440 x 1080, 16:9
Frame Rate: 25 frames.sec
Data Rate: Variable bit rate (max 16000kps)
Audio attributes: 48000 Hz
Audio bit rate: 448 kps

Hi

And welcome to the forum

Although I don’t use High Definition video I am aware of some problems when rendering and using Smart Render.

Uncheck this from the Options button from the “create video file” window.

worth a try

That being said, I am rather puzzled by ixi's profile. He says that his motherboard is a Pentium 4, but that his processor (CPU) is a Core 2 Duo.... Obviously, one of these is wrong. And I am wondering if indeed he has a Pentium 4 CPU... If so, then it would obviously be vastly under-resourced to be able to edit AVCHD, which is what he is doing. And even if indeed he has a Core 2 Duo CPU (with an otherwise unknown motherboard), then if that too is not particularly a powerful CPU, he could still have similar problems...

i have narrowed the problem down to certain files within the project. The common trend in all the files is that they have been shortened while in the project by using the black arrows to pinpoint the exact portion of the clip i wanted to use, so while it plays flawlessly in project mode it uses a small part of the file when converting that does not appear in project mode.

I had edited this way with Ulead 10 without problems but this makes me think that of editing small clips within a project cannot be done in pro x3.

If you could clear up Ken's questions that would be helpful.

Just a stab in the dark here.

I use FRAPS to capture in-game video/audio and had a similar issuew with out of sync Audio.

I changed the pc audio setting to 44100Mhz instead of 48000. FIXED!

May be worth a look at?

May be that your PC is set to play audio at 44... and you are trying to generate a file with Audio at 48... ?
