Loading videos with Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtrack fails

Post by wolfgangbeyer »

Hi,

If I load a video with Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtrack in Ulead VideoStudio 11 SE DVD the soundtrack signal is zero. The source of my videos is DVB-C recording subsequently processed with PVAStrumento 2.1.0.22, were chosing the sondtrack is possible. There are no audio problems if I chose any other soundtrack from the same video.

If also tried to multilexe these videos using PVAStrumento and then load the video and audio separately in VS11, but VS11 does not offer to load existing *.ac3 audio files.

On the other hand in http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN//viewtopic ... bd4#p93673 I read that VS9 and above should support Dolby.

Since you have an SE version I suppose you got it free with a piece of hardware? Because of licensing issues these free SE versions usually are not able to produce Dolby audio.

Hi

There is an AC3 filter that will allow you to play Digital Dolby. It will however NOT create/re-code Digital Dolby.
But I think you should be able to render to another audio type?
