How do I lock a layer to prevent it being edited

Post by DGemal »

Hi all, probably a newbie question. I did search for an answer but didn't find one.

I have a multilayered .psp file.
Other people are going to be accessing and using the complete image.
I want to lock certain layers to make them uneditable so that the other users can only make changes to certain layers. I want the users to be able to make the locked layers visible or not, just not edit them.
How do I do that?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You cant. You can lock transparency But not stop editing otherwise it would no be an editor. You might try adding the layers into a group Which may make it difficult to alter to other then a determined user

If you're needing to be able to lock layers, you might have a look at CorelDraw Graphics Suite. The Draw program does allow locking layers, however it is more of an illustration program and not so much a photo-editing. CorelDraw Graphics Suite does come with Photo Paint, which does not permit locking layers..
