Video rendering problem in X3
What I am doing is creating a "cooking video". We upload these to YouTube to be linked to an internet site. It works, and renders just fine. But what we are trying to do now, is use a translucent logo, in the lower left corner. I can place the logo, in the overlay track, and running the video, it's just as we want it. So, when I go to render it for You Tube, once rendering is complete, the SQUARE logo has been drawn to a RECTANGULAR shape, and it runs out the bottom of the video screen, cutting off the lower part of the logo!! Why does it refuse, to render it as I set it up, and ran it, before rendering?? We are NOT using HD, just standard video, using the standard default settings, as they come up when going thru the process. What am I doing wrong?

We don't know, partly because you don't tell us what you are rendering from or rendering to. Please read the following and supply the requested info.

Re: Video rendering problem in X3
Source is a Canon HS22.... standard DV capturing in MOD (mpeg2 in believe) .... the video itself is perfect, have uploaded it by itself no problem. The logo is a translucent .png file.... and the completed video rendering into the Mpeg4 4.3 option for the You-Tube upload, all done IN X3, all using the Corel program. The logo was rendered semi opaque using GIMP.....
These is no problems rendering and uploading the video, WITHOUT the overlay/logo picture.... add the picture, and it does not render, as seen on the X3 screen, in the "Project" view....

Re: Video rendering problem in X3
Could it be the fact i did not use X3 to make it transparent, and the third party picture program is causing conflict?? I'm trying to do another render, using the loge, made transparent using the X3 options under chroma key....

Re: Video rendering problem in X3
Is your PNG image rendered/created using the alpha channel, ie; transparent background? I've tried to replicate your problem using PhotoImpact, and Paintshop Photo Pro, however can not.
Instead of using Chroma-Key in VS, I would use the transparency found in the upper-left of the Mask & Chroma Key dialog.

This is the Video I uploaded... The Logo at the left, when I set it up in my VS X3 edit window, was SQUARE and about a 1/4 inch over from the left (it still is) and about 1/4 up from the bottom (it's NOT)... it's moved, and is now rectangular and drawn downwards... maybe seeing it will help. Also, this one was done, as you suggested, using the Mask and Chroma in the options window, and the transparency control to the upper left....It's at about 65%.... I'm lost here, I don't get why it doesn't render the way it is on the screen! I choose upload to youtube, then mpeg4...4.3.. then it starts the render process.... when done, the box appears on the upper right, and when you click on it, the image has been changed to what you see in the youtube video above....

Re: Video rendering problem in X3
Ok, went back, and did everything as before, using your method to create the transparency etc... but, I placed the logo a 1/4 from the left side, but had to stay about 1/2 up form the bottom, and it renders basically like it's supposed to. an even 1/4 by 1/4 will not work. Is there some parameter in the program i'm violating by trying to get this placed so low??? I have to stay at least 1/4 above the white line the "clip" setting throws up on the view screen.. going over the same line up the side... to the left causes no issue as far as I can tell. It's only the bottom of the screen, getting too close, thats causes the problem. If It's not possible to place the logo there, let me know, and well just have to do with it as it will work.. not ideal, but...... anyone know for sure?
