codec question

Post by sleeper »

I have a sony 550v camcorder. It records in h.264. I am having problems after creating share file and trying to burn in 7se. The video plays for 2-3 seconds then stops and goes back to the start and does it again. I have tried different share formats, reinstalled vs3 and 7se. It doesn't help. I did make 2 movies that played fine but none since. I even used 5 clips to make a video and it also burned to a hybird disk without any problems. I was wondering if I should change the video codec to mpeg2 edit then change back to avchd when I make a share file? Any one think this will help? Any other ideas would be appreciated too. Also my bluray burner is stuck on max. burn speed. I can't change it.

I think we need to sort out what those numbers are first sleeper - by VS3 do you mean you are using version 3 of VideoStudio ?? and what about 7SE - is that VideoStudio 7SE or some reference to Windows 7.

In order to help we need as much accurate information as you can supply about what you are using.

sorry. vs prox3 and moviefactory 7se. my video is 24 min long at rate of 16000. could this be too big? When I took the 5 video clips, it was only about 4-5 min. long from the save video and it worked fine. If you need any other info please let me know. I have been working on this video for a month now.
