text tool closing PSPX3

Hi Guys ,

this is my first post on the forum. PSPX3 has been FANTASTIC up until today! each time i have selected the text tool it has kinda frozen up the program, then the message has come up that PSP has to close?! really annoying as i have lost the project i was working on both times. i tried to select 'debug' on the error message but it didnt appear to do anything!!

would appreciate any help on this - as i said, it has been fine up till now!

Hello,

I seen a post(s) in this forum about problems with the Text Tool if, in the Materials Palette, either Foreground or background were set to "transparent".

Are either your foreground or background colors set to transparent? If so have you installed both patches? If not tell PSPX3 to check for updates.

I only had that problem with the original X3 and after path #1. Patch #2 seemed to fix the problem perfectly.

But that's all I know on the matter. If this isn't the case then I can't help.

i think you may be correct! as both times it has happened i had just created a shape with transparent fill then straight away clicked the text tool

will try again today anyhow
