This used to work perfectly in Corel Version 10.... in corel X2 this merges to one stupid raster layer.
I have created a document for cover and now it is time to go to press. i NEED to deliver PSD files ( this is for a commercial book ).
I cannot even save as version 10 because that also squashes it. It needs to remain in layered format ( vector )
How do i proceed ?
Exporting to X10 format doesn't work since it squashes it.
Exporting to PSd doesn't work since it squashes it...
It seems with every new relese there are more and more things that don;t work rigt. It used to be that EMS en WMF worked fine, now those don;t work either. Thanks a lot Corel !
Export to PSD ( Photoshop ) no longer works in X2 !

What version number of PSPP X2... 12.00, 12.01 or 12.50.
Although I think you'll find that the problem is occurring because you're using vectors. Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro vectors are not compatible, and PSP has never been able to produce Photoshop vectors, let alone save a PSD with vectors.
I think the only options available if you need a PSD with vectors are Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.

Re: Export to PSD ( Photoshop ) no longer works in X2 !
I use version 12.01. The offending objects are raster layers with transparency. This forces a merged output. Delete these layers and you can export as PSD. But as you said : not as objects. It squashes vector data into raster layers. the funny bit is that thos layers themselves have transparency ... so paintshop knows how to do it, but not from pre-set transparency on raster layers.
The workarounds i found to transfer the transparent raster layers :
Workaround 1 : create a new blank PSP fle with transparent background. Copy the layer of interest to this new image. Save the image as PNG (with transparency). This preserves pixeldata (png is lossless and supports transparency). You can now open this file in Photoshop and paste it as a layer
Workaround 2 : select the layer of interest in Paintshop Pro. Using the select tool ( or select-layer) , select the area of interest. Ctrl-c ( copy)
Go to Photoshop and hit paste. Done.
In the end i was successful in converting over my PSP file to Photoshop so i can send the drawing to the printer.
I have been using PSP since version 2.something (when the internet was young ... ) and will still continue to use it. But in the end i am weaning myself off to Photoshop. Simply because it is the de-facto standard in the publishing world (together with illustrator and indesign). Not because i dont like PSP.
