Hello
I have been reading about people having problems with playing DVD's produced on a computer using various programmes.
Does VS X3 and other VS programmes finalise the DVD automatically every time a DVD is burnt?
Are there any compatibility charts available relating to DVD 'types'?
I know from my own experience that 'cheapo' DVD may or may not work.
Kind Regards
Finalising DVD

Re: Finalising DVD
First you can not produce a DVD with VS X3. Corel removed the burn module, thus you must use the worthless DVD Factory 2010 that comes with it, or download the free DVD MovieFactory 7SE and use it to produce your DVDs.
A DVD authoring program does finalize the disc, when you burn a video disc. For information on DVD types have a look at Wikipedia..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD, or Webopedia's DVD Formats Explained, or Tucows article Understanding DVD types.
Some cheapo discs may not work with some players, while some do work better. I know it used to be, the more expensive DVD players are real picky on what media they will play. Sometimes the speed at which the disc is burned plays an important part in playback. The slower the burn speed, the better the data is burned into the disc.

Re: Finalising DVD
Thanks for the information Ron.
I have looked on the Corel site but I cannot find the free DVD MovieFactory 7SE to download.
As it been removed or do you have a link you can post because it appears that Corel are very good at NOT showing everything that is good on their site.
Kind Regards
