VS X3 installed highly unstable, advice?
Downloaded VS X3 from internet, loaded & installed on computer, but very unstable, continually going between running and not-responding (in task manager) finally have to shut down thru task manager. Can not complete simple tasks such as playing video, no editing possible. Also get nag screen on reboot to install program when program already installed. Even at loss where to start looking for cures! Help. Been Corel fan since Draw 4 and love Corel stuff and know this will be great once it's working. Thnx.

Re: VS X3 installed highly unstable, advice?
The Canon G7 uses the old Motion JPEG format, although it calls itself AVI (there are over 800 formats that use .avi as their extension). Moreover, none of the MJPEG outputs from the camera are in standard DVD size. Windows, and Video Studio, do not have the MJPEG codec installed automatically, so the only way VS is going to be able to 'see' your video is by ensuring you have the right codec installed. Did you install the CD which would have come with the camera, and thus install the codec?
