I tried using the File Locations under Preferences, but do not see exactly how or where to define drive and folder.
I want to go directly to E:\DonsData when using File-Open, and also when using Save As.
I do not want any of my files in the listed folders on C: drive.
Could someone please give me a step-by-step?
TIA,
Don

Paint Shop Pro remembers the last directory you opened and saved a file to for each option. It also remembers which directly you saved a copy of an image to using "Save As Copy."
So to get it to default to your E:\ drive you have to both open and save to the E:\drive.
Now I've only tested this with my flash drive but it should always attempt to locate the last location you opened a file from, and only if it fails change directory. So as long as I plugged my flash drive in before hitting the Open button it would open the flash drive.
Same with Save/Save As.
But that's all I know on the subject.

Re: Want my saved files on data drive - E:\DonsData
Thanks for your reply.
I knew that part, but I have images in many folders on my data drive, so was hoping to be able to set the root directory as the default.
Then I could easily pick the desired subfolder, instead of having to navigate up, then back down.
If this is not possible, it is not a big deal, but would be easier.
Thanks again for your attention,
Don
