Im using one of the more popular tv software out there that lets you watch and record tv on your computer. Snapstream's BeyondTv. But when recording, now that cable tv is brodcast in digital Beyondtv records it in a TP format. Unfortunately ulead doesnt recognize this format. How can this be? Ive been given advice to just changethe extension from tp to ts as it is the same thing but it doesnt respond to that either.

TP is basically an mpeg format - I can't see what changing the extension to ts would do - have you tried changing the extension to .mpg ?
