In PSP X2, it doesnt seem to be possible to delete tags from pictures. Although there is an option to delete a tag, it always seems to re-create itself. This is a real nuisance! Has anyone found a way to actually delete an unwanted tag from a picture?
This was discussed some time ago, here...

But I wonder if anyone has found a solution since then?

Re: PSP X2 Deleting Tags
I found a workaround, but it is tedious. However, it works if you're driven crazy enough to do it. I'm making this detailed for future reference. I use Windows 7 and haven't upgraded to other versions of PSP due to bad reviews.
First, open up Windows Explorer (WE) to the location of your pictures. Don't click on any individual sub-folders; just the main one. Then, of course, open up PSPX2.
In PSP, look down at the organizer (click the file cabinet icon) and look for the list of tags. Click on the first tag you want to delete. For this example, we'll use "Vacation."
Go back to WE and in the search window to the right type in tags:(whatever). Put the tag name in (whatever). If the first tag you want to delete is "Vacation," then type in "tags:Vacation". It will automatically give you the search results.
Click on the first picture in the WE search results. Towards the bottom of your screen you should see all sorts of info: Date taken, Tags, Ratings, Dimensions.
Click in the "Tags" entry field. Then, delete the tag you wish ("Vacation") and hit Enter. Wait a few seconds, and the picture will disappear from the search results, meaning the tag has been removed. Do this for all pictures with this tag.
Now, go back to PSP. Make sure that on the left of the Organizer you're still on the tag you deleted in WE ("Vacation"). Click on the first picture in the thumbnails in the right side of the Organizer. Be sure the "i" in the Organizer mode has been selected so you see the photo info to the right. I make the Organizer really large so I can see more pictures.
Click on the individual picture, and in the Information to the right, look for the Tags box. Click on the word "Vacation" in the box. It will highlight. Click the "Delete Tag" button (tag with red x). Then click the check mark at the bottom to save.
Do this for each picture under the "Vacation" tag. Pause about 3-5 seconds to make sure it took. You can hover over the picture thumbnail and see that the tag field is blank.
When all picture tags have been deleted in WE and in PSP, go to the left of the Organizer, right-click the "Vacation" tag in the Organizer tree, and choose "Delete." The tag should be permanently deleted.
Like I said, this is tedious. Do it while watching TV. But, it gets rid of the pesky tags for good. I just hope you don't have to do this for hundreds of pictures like I did.
