Greetings to All!
First of all I want to tell that this program is interesting to me because it supports editing of files AVCHD without recoding. But I have a problem at its usage.
I create the project, add 1 file M2TS created by my camcorder (Panasonic HDC-SD60) in it and trying to make export to a file as file AVCHD (HD PAL 1920). Smart Render is on.
When advancement of 90% Video Studio hangs. Ок, we wait...
Approximately after 5 minutes it unhangs, the performance indicator disappears, but the studio remains freezed. ОК, we wait still...
Then it unhangs and there is a message appears: "File Format mismatch 16803:1:3". The file created by a studio in 3-4 times longer, then source file, with the damaged header, without a sound.
I have tried to reinstall VS - the same, have deleted a codec pack - the same, cleaned the register, have deleted temporal files - the same. And each time is frozen on 90 %.
I tried to do it with different files. Nothing has helped.
What can it be?

Is your PC a dual-core or Quad-Core? The latter is highly recommended for AVCHD. Have you tried rendering without Smart Render?

My PC is dual-core. Without Smart Render everything OK. But I don't want to recompile files as I already wrote.

Re: VideoStudio Pro X3 and Smart Render
It has been mentioned many times on this board that when outputting HD, especially AVCHD, SmartRender should be turned OFF.

Hi
If you are converting your Panasonic m2ts files using H264 to Avchd HD Pal 1920 then the settings have to match for Smart Render to take affect, if the bitrate is different then every frame will need recoding irrespective of what edits you have applied.
AVCHD are not the first files to be recommended that Smart Render be disabled.

Re: VideoStudio Pro X3 and Smart Render
There is something in the Panasonoc AVCHD codec which causes this problem with VX2/3. If you want to keep smart render (much faster too) with the Pana files, just put in front your video an image file (I use black .jpg set for 4 secs).

Ок, I will try to add a picture in the beginning. Though it is strange, with other programs there are no such problems at all.
For example, with Sony Vegas Movie Studio everything ok. It also supports Smart Render. I have recently bought a camcorder and searching normal not to expensive program for work with video.
