Glassy text - how did I do it?

Post by sisom »

I've produced some 'glassy text', which is transparent, and takes on the colour of whatever coloured surface I put it on, but - I can't remember how I did it!

I can supply the UFO file if that will help.

I think that I used something in either the 'Photo' or 'Effect' menu, but I made it two weeks ago, and haven't used it since then, and now I can't remember how to do it again - what a fool.

Does anybody know how to do it? The text appears very glass like, and magnifies patterns that are underneath it, a little.

In case this helps, the text is still 'Text/path', not an image, in the Material settings, the colour is grey (Hue 0%, Saturation 0%, Brightness 50%),
Bevel, 3D Round
Bevel settings - Smooth Spine is OFF (surprisingly)
Shadow - Off
Lights: 1 Direct, Ambient 30%
Shading: Phong
Bump, Reflection, Transparency and Border are all unticked.

(So, surprisingly, Transparency is off.)
