Paint Shop Pro X4?

Somewhere on the Corel site I saw a reference to PSP X4. I haven't received any update notice and have not seen any advertisements. Am I just seeing things? Does an X4 version exist?

I would say you're seeing things. Either it was in reference to some possibility for what may one day come in X4, or you saw X4 and Paint Shop Pro and accidentally put them together. The latter is a very common mistake if you're just browsing through a page as it appears you were.

Because Corel does have other software packages with the version number X4. And at least one of them is in the same category as Paint Shop Pro so I find this very likely. But as of yet there is no Paint Shop Photo Pro X4.

I think you're seeing a group called "corel.CorelPhotoPaintX4" (news://cnews.corel.com/corel.PhotoPaintX4). PHOTO-PAINT X4 is the raster image editing component of the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4. It is not the same program as Paint Shop Pro, has a completely different history and is very different to use. (the current version of PHOTO-PAINT is X5).

I wouldn't expect to see an X4 version of PSP for at least a year. Hopefully there will be at least another patch for PSPP X3 to fix the bugs that infest it and limit its usability.
