Hi all!
I've searched the forum, and can't find anything.
I have both PSP x and x2. I'm trying to remove background noise from astrophtos (RAW cr2 format for Rebel XTi)
Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Dark Frame Subtraction
You get better detailed information on the various noise removal options from the on-line help system. There are several choices for noise removal including best guess (one step) wizards, wizards with user modification, smoothing with hard edge retention, and two digital noise removal types. These are all available from the adjust drop down.
RAW support in PSPPX3 is very limited. I have a Canon D50 that uses the .cr2 raw format. Canon Digital Photo Pro, a RAW editor, lets you set sharpness and noise reduction. If that or similar software was included with your Rebel, apply the filter in it plus do exposure corrections in that and then use Convert and Save to export to .tif format (I use 8 bit) for editing in PSP. To get to these tabs in the Canon software click view, then tool pallette. The corrections will be applied to all formats during conversion. (In RAW format, the changes are kept in an embedded metadata instruction file and applied when viewing or converting to a non-RAW format.)
