Hello
I am considering an upgrade to X3 but I cannot find any info relating to if the trial version contains all the recent patches etc and if it contains the link for some of the other goodies mentioned on the site.
I have also read somewhere about the video cards with CUdA technology being a better option for AVCHD formats.
Can anyone enlighten me on these 2 topics please, does X3 support CUDA?
It appears I have a GeForce 8500 GT card with 16 CUDA cores and 512 MB dedicated video memory on the 32 bit computer and
GeForce 9800 GT video cand with 112 stream processors, total available graphics memory 2815MB and dedicated video memory of 1024MB on my 64 bit computer.
Kind Regards
Upgrade

Hi
As far as I know you cannot add patches to the trial version.
Updates via the “get more” buttons which allow for more templates will not work either,
That’s if the buttons are available with the trial.
But there was a direct download link, but again I do not think they will install even if your able to download them.
As far as I know the trial is fully functional other than not having a full compliment of templates.
Except……..
X3 came with an authoring program called DVD Factory Pro 2010, this program is not fit for purpose, Corel have provided DVD Movie Factory 7SE a more suitable product.
But again you cannot get this unless you purchase the full product.
DVD Movie Factory 7SE other than it being a separate program is very similar to using the authoring module in earlier VS products.
Graphics cards is not my strong point, so sorry I cannot help out there.
But if your system runs the trial version then you shouldn’t have any problems with the full.
Others on the forum may help out here.

Re: Upgrade
Thanks for your input Trevor that is useful information. I would like someone with knowledge of Cuda and Streams technology to say if X3 uses these technologies, I suppose that is more important than the add on bits.
