G: internal drive missing

Tried to open a VS project and a message came up"file could not be found".Looked in My Computer and the internal G: drive was not listed.This is where I keep all my projects.Help please,Have XP Home..............Ken

Is it an external drive? If so, I have to ask the obvious, is it turned on?

Turn pc off adn on again. Check.
If no, turn off and check inside pc to see if any cables have come loose, push them in and try again.
Check in control panel > administrative tools>storage>disc managment can yo see it here?

Thanks for the replies, cant take the PC cover off now to check connections but I did go Control Panel-Admin Tools-Computer Management-Disc Management.
C: d: + E: were there but not G:. G: is another internal drive used for media.Have rebooted several times

disconnected and re connected all the hard drive connectors and I am now back in business,thank you for the advice.
