help files missing

Post by Morten »

I'm using X3 ver 13.2.0.35 and everytime I press Help I get a screen with absolutly no help:

file:///C:/Program%20Files/Corel/Corel%20PaintShop%20Photo%20Pro/X3/PSPClassic/Languages/EN/Help/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm?context=Corel_PaintShop_Photo_Pro_Help&topic=0x2007F&single=

Would any of you know where to find the help files (online?) and where to tell PSP to find the files. I downloaded the manual from ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/documentation/m ... %20Pro.pdf but is not as quick to use.

All the best from Copenhagen, Denmark

I notice you say you're from Denmark so if you want another langauge, don't know if you do, just replace the EN in that URL with whatever your language code is.

Thanks for the link. It's very useful.

I later realized that the problem is related to my choice of standard web browser. I'm using firefox and chrome, and in none of those browser does the menu show up when viewing the help. Nor do the actual help texts. But when I manually pulls up MS Internet Explorer and paste in the url, then it works. The strange thing is that the link posted by LeviFiction also works fine in firefox.

So the best solution could be to find out how/where to instruct my copy of PSPX3 about where it should to find the help text and/or which browser to use.

And one more thing. When I close my laptop having MSIE showing the link provided by LeviFiction than it will not enter standby mode and stay therer as it otherwise usually does, Maybe it keeps polling for data from corel.

All the best
