WinDVR 3 was installed by a long since replaced TV Capture Card. I recently started getting a "Key Expired" Popup whenever I try to navigate in Windows Explorer or when I try to click Video Files.
I traced the problem to WINDVR3 by finding and reviewing the following files
C:\DOCUME~1\Name Removed\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER1b13.dir00\WinDvr.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Name Removed\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER1b13.dir00\appcompat.txt
I have searched my C:\ for WinDvr.exe but it does not find it. I have followed the instructions to remove WinDVR3 at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=21757
I have carefully followed and repeated the instructions numerous times, however I continue to get the "Key Expired" popup when trying to navigate Windows Explorer or play or access video files. It's been very frustrating. I am looking forward to some advice on how to finally and completely remove WINDVR3 from my system.
Thank You
Jack

Re: Unable to Remove WINDVR 3
I failed to mention that I ran CCleaner early on in my quest to rid the "Key Expired" popup. Any further advice would be greatly appreciated. The popup is frequent and borderline maddening.
Thanks Jack

Re: Unable to Remove WINDVR 3
Ok I ran HiJackThis and found the following:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinDVR SchSvr] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\InterVideo\SchSvr\SchSvr.exe"
This item was not showing in my task manager. Seemed to be running stealth. I manually deleted it and all other WinDVR entries from the registry. rebooted and so far so good. Thanks for the forum & the input. I'll holler if it comes back.
Thanks Jack

Glad to hear the glitch is resolved. My next suggestion would have been reinstallation and subsequent removal with Revo Uninstaller:
http://www.revouninstaller.com/
Uninstall using 'advanced mode' and delete all the registry entries.
