Viewing PSP Files In Windows 7

Post by vampyreholic »

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and I cannot view PSP files like I could with Windows Vista.

I have tried changing the file to large images, I have tried various picture viewers like Irfanview and I have tried re-saving the images with a compatibility with my version of PSP. (I have 10, 11, 12 and 13). I have the same issues on all of them.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can view the files as thumbnails? I have files that need organising and I can't see them to organise them

You will notice it says Small medium or large Icons not thumbnails. So there is an extra step you may need actually two First Folder options > View . First line "always show icons never thumbnails" make sure that is not checked.
Second some users but not all have had problems with PSPs shell extention not displaying PSP thumbs in 64 bit.
Bot productions http://www.botproductions.com/pspthumb/index.htmlhave a 64 bit version you can get for free

Thank you for your reply Trev.

I actually solved this problem last night. I installed PSP Thumbnail Viewer and rebooted my computer. .tub files still don't show but all I have to do is resave them as psp image files and they show. I guess Windows 7 is temperemental when it comes to PSP.

Again thank you for your reply. It is appreciated.
