Still no 5.1 sound provided

Post by Flevobird »

We all bought VideoStudeo X3 WITH the possibility of exporting Dolby 5.1 sound. Because of the structural problems with ‘DVD Factory Pro 2010’ Corel nowadays provides ‘MovieFactory 7SE’ with VSX3. But that’s no fully supported alternative, even updates are not available.

With the first build-in solution there are too many errors and some parts doesn’t work properly or doesn't work at all, with the second we still haven't got the required 5.1 functionality. If it has to do something with the rights with Dolby, please can Corel give an extra choice to the users: maybe having 7SE with Dolby 5.1 and disable DFP2010 for that?

Now the sold software is incomplete for several users! Please provide a complete alternative for your customers. I like the editing software and want to have what I bought. It sounds fair to me. For Europe there is no alternative like ‘MovieFactory Pro 7’ to buy, even ‘MovieFactory 6’ isn’t available anymore. :(

It sounds fair to everybody except for (unfortunately) Corel.

Thank you. I know this board is independent from Corel and runned by end-users, but Corel only tells to contact the board to solve problems ... by posting I hope that Corel sees the problem is still actual and will take the problem serious.

Hi
Digital Dolby

The workflow to complete your project is to create a video file. Its nothing new I have always used this approach. Its at this stage that you should be able to select DD 5.1
MH7Se should be able to burn your disc using the correct audio.

There are a lot of formats out there some may have problems with DD5.1

Using Make Movie Templates Manager seems to support most formats with DD5.1

Mpeg2, MTS etc are capable of using 5.1

But I do agree that Corel don’t seem to be heading in the right direction, which is a shame.

I dislike not having a decent solution by Corel for the Dolby 5.1 issue. 'DVD Factory Pro 2010' isn't working and 'MovieFactory 7 SE' isn't complete for replacing 'DVD Factory'. As mentioned several times.

Now I was forced to buy Nero Vision 10 to be able to make Bluray’s and DVD’s with menu’s and Dolby 5.1 sound. 'MovieFactory 7 PRO’ isn’t available for Europe …

The export quality of sound and video images with Nero is very good, but still prefer editing with ‘Corel Video Studio X3’. So I have to export my project to AVCHD video (same as source) and import the chapters /video parts to ‘Nero Vision’ to author my disk. Something VideoStudio had to do …

By this I want to share my solution with other users.
