EasyCAP (USB 2.0) TV DVD VHS Video Audio AV Capture

Post by Hashashin »

Hi

First thanks for looking at my post.

I bought EasyCAP (USB 2.0) TV DVD VHS Video Audio AV Capture. I bought this for the sole reason for transfering my recored video from the Video cassete (VHS). the software i used is Ulead VideoStudio SE DVD. BUT the quality it records to my computer is nowhere near the qaulity of the tape. I tried many different settings (sat on computer for 5 hours) but nothing seems to work (very disappointed!) PLZ Help. if you need my computer specs:

2.33GHz core 2 quad
Vista ultimate
2GB RAM
320 HDD

I tried to ask help from ulead and registered there but they say that they do not help for this product :(

They redirected me to here so i register here.

PLZ ANYONE HELP !!!

I'm afraid the main capture settings are set by easycap, so you may need to contact them to sort out your problem. They take a piece of software and change it to work with the hardware, whcih is why Corel won't support it, they won't know what changes have been made :)

If you post the type of file you have captured and where you are viewing this file then someone may be able to suggest changes to the setings in VS.

Hi,
Plug in yourEzCap, connect to video recorder, make sure the video you want to copy is ready at the place were you want to start.Open ulead software, make sure 16.9 is NOT ticked, click movie wizard, then click capture when open the settings should read:-
Duration - leave blank, source should read USB 2861 Device, format should read DVD, if not change it, tv channel should be blank, capture folder - alter to were you want, i use desktop. click options -then capture options - put a tick next to capyure audio and capture to library, click ok. click options again, click video and audio capture property settings, source tab should read input source - video composite, tv system - pal (change if default says ntsc, if you are not in the USA) under audio - audio device should read usb emp audio device, input source - leave blank, make sure NO TICKS in boxes use pci audio and preview audio with usb device ( last one makes video jump), leave colour tab as is, click capture tab - make sure dvd is ticked, frame size should be 720 x 576, do not touch anything else, click ok. now just make sure your connected to your video player with red, yellow and white leads - press play on your recorder - click capture video on your computer - you will then see the film on the preview pane - you will NOT here any SOUND, this is normal, when finished, click play on preview pane you should now have sound and a good picture.

Hope this helps.
