Long Pause

Post by NOKNOT »

I am using VideoStudio 11.5. After creating a menu based DVD with different scenes, when I play it back I can click on the scene I want to view, the dvd will take me to it but then there will be about a 7 or 8 second pause before it starts playing. Is this normal? Thanks.

Generally, there is some sort of lag before it plays, but it's usually only a second or two. Did you possibly put, say, 5 seconds of a black color clip before your video in your project?

Hi

Yes a commercial DVD plays instantly. I am using Tayio Yuden-R.

Then it seems your player is initially having trouble reading the disc. Per Trevor's advice, another brand/type may work better.

I created another movie using both VS 11.5 and an older Premiere Elements 4,using the same media,DVD-R. Once again the VS movie paused several seconds before taking off while the Premiere copy started playing instantly. Could it have something to do with the smart scene templates? Its as though they fade into the movie and then it pauses before playing.
