recognizing panasonic camera
I just purchased the corel video editing software. It does not recognize my Panasonic HDC-TM700P video camera. The reason I purchased Corel is because I read that it can recognize ACVHD files. I know that the camera is being seen by the computer because the Panasonic software initiates and sees the camera. How can I get the Corel software to capture the camera data? Thanks.

Re: recognizing panasonic camera
What does the Panasonic software do? If it is for capturing or transferring video you should use that, then import the clips into VS for editing.

Re: recognizing panasonic camera
Doesn't that camcorder record onto a memory card? If so you can just copy the video files from the memory card onto your computer. Then insert them into VS for editing. Do you have a card reader for your PC?

Re: recognizing panasonic camera
I'd go with jeff's advice and use the panasonic software to transfer the data to your pc then import and edit in VS. You don't "capture" from this type of cam.

I have TM700 and use it with VS. Just connect the camcorder through USB with yout computer. Your PC will see your cancorder as an external device, Just copy the .mts files from the "Stream" folder (in the "Private" folder) on your HDD. Open this files in VS and you are done.
