bought videostudio program wont open in easy edit

bought videostudio program wont open in easy edit
tried reinstall twice but from start up menue screen videostudio pro x3 will only start in advanced. If I click on easy edit it instantly pops up message box "corelvideo studio encountered a problem and needs to close". I have xp pro with all updates... Any ideas?
