Audio Split

Help! Help!

I am still having trouble splitting audio tracks. I tried everything, I put the music into the music track & also into the voice track I highlighted the music track tried to leave it highlighted while I mark the area to split and the highlight shuts off, there is no way I can get the scissor to highlight, for cutting. The scissor works for cutting the video track. Could there be a wrong setting somewhere.

The scissor doesn't enable until you've positioned the job positition by clicking in the time code area, or by entering the time code directly. All of this has to be done in the timeline.
