Repeating automusic
Can anyone suggest a way of filling the music track for the entire length of the project with one automusic track repeated as many times has required to fill the project, with the same audio level settings as in the first clip ? I have tried 'copy clip attributes' without success but I suspect there is probably a keyboard combination that does this, but like most things to do with VS, only found by diligent searching or consulting someone in the know.
Also, I would be interested to know where I might find a legend for the icons that appear at the front of each topic in this users web board?

Hi
If you tick the ‘Auto Trim’ box the auto music will fit to space available, from the slider/curser position.
Or select the music clip in timeline and drag the yellow trim bar to resize the clip.
Or select the music clip in timeline change the duration in the digital clock.

If you login the legend for the icons is at the bottom of the web page.

Re: Repeating automusic
Thanks Trevor,
I will try your suggestions although I'm sure I tried to extend the clip by dragging as you suggested and it would shorten but not extend. It might be a little while before I can try it because at the 'convert to video stage the program froze with an 'unspecified error' and the suggestion from Corel support is to uninstall and reinstall the program.
Thanks also alanball,
I don't always log on when I visit the forum which might explain why I had not been able to find a meaning for each icon

Alanball,
I know I am not the brightest when it comes to finding my way away around web sites but I have just spent some time looking for that icon legend, without success , and I am pretty sure I am logged in as I am able to post a reply. Any chance of some one more detailed directions please.

Re: Repeating automusic
Trevor,
Before I reinstall the program I thought I should try your suggestions but I'm afraid I've met with little success . In VSx3 I am referring to any one of the fourteen M01 to M14 tracks represented by the speaker symbol available when the double crochet symbol is selected in the middle of the screen. With the auto music tab, and the track on the timeline, selected I was able to alter the time in the window beside the clock symbol under 'music and video' and but could not find a way to make this have any affect on the track on the time line, although the altered time still remains in the box
The Autotrim box was grayed out as were some other of options such as set mood, added to timeline, play selected music, but smartsound quicktracks seemed to be available.
As I said in my previous reply, I could only make the selected track shorter by dragging but could not extend it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated,
regards, Peter

Re: Repeating automusic
Hi Peter
There seems to be some confusion here……….
The clips M01 in the library are normal audio files, the same as any song having a limited length. They are sample music files. ….
They are not Auto Music nor are they associated with Auto Music.
You treat then like any normal audio file, you can trim them to make them smaller, just like trimming any clip.
The Auto Music is a separate beast, it generates sounds from its QuickTracks data base to any size.

Re: Repeating automusic
Thanks Trevor,
I think I stand a chance of sorting it out now , once I get through my deinstalled reinstall which has come to a standstill, awaiting further advice from customer support. Oh, for a decent manual.
Alanball,
I must be blind but can find no link to an icon legend where you suggest. Am I looking in the right place, anywhere near the 'new topic' button?
regards, Peter

Hi Peter,
unless we are talking about different Icons , on the VideoStudio front page the icons with a description of each one are located just below the New Topic button on the left.

Re: Repeating automusic
Alan,
I am talking about are the mostly round icons at the far left of each listing , most contain a representation of a page of text , some are red, some are black, some the text moves and I noticed mine had a little red star in the top right hand corner . I thought it would be handy to know exactly what this means . On my front page of the Videostudio board, below 'new topic' I have 'return to board index', 'who is online' and 'forum permissions' -nothing else. Sorry to drag this out but I have been curious about this for a while.

Re: Repeating automusic
When the Icon is Red, it means there is a new post in that thread.
Those red stars shows you that you have posted in those threads. The scrolling lines means that it is a hot topic, generally 25 or more replies..

Re: Repeating automusic
Alan,
Thanks for your help , although as I mentioned no icon legend is visible on my page. However, the link Ron provided has given me all the answers and makes posts a bit easier to follow .
Thanks Ron.
PS. I have hit a hurdle with the reinstallation of VS13 and so far the help from support has not got me through it, so it may be a little while yet before I get to use the program again.
