DVD Factory - own pic as background

Post by madkitty »

I currently have DVD factory as part of videostudio X3 but its driving me nuts - how do you simply add a photo as the background image and can you move the location of the video too? Im starting to wish I had never upgraded from VS10 now grrrr

This can be done..

At the bottom, there should be a tab to the far right called Background. Go to this tab, then click on the blue button on the left that says, +More Backgrounds. In the next window, click on the Folders button located in the left column. The key here is, you will need to allow the program to catalog the drive(s) or Folders where the image or video files are located you want to use. The only way to do this is before you start your project, by selecting the Import, then tick the box beside those folders and drives. DVD Factory will then catalog those, and you will have access to their content.

Now saving the best for last... I would download and use the free DVD MovieFactory 7SE, and forget all about this nightmare called DVD Factory 2010. I use the full Pro version, which is still better than the SE. Either way, it resembles the burn module of the previous versions of VS. If you decide to do so, keep in mind that VS X3 came out well after DVD MF 7, so it will not allow using project files from VS X3. The full blown DVD MovieFactory 7 Pro can now be purchased from Corel in the US, something that was not available when it was first released.
