Best output quality with pro x3

Post by pat »

Hello,

I wanted to edit a movie from my Canon 7D files (1280x720 in 50 p). Which is the best output quality you would recommend, if space doesn`t matter for pc?
The input files are h.264 as quick-time with approx. 55000 kbps. i tried to output with hdv for pc, but the quality was less good than the original and only ca. 18000 kbps.
How would you manually output? With what format, codec and which bitrate?
Thanks,

Pat

Hi Pat

Welcome to the forum

Nice camera, haven’t had chance to try out the movie mode, may be I’ll give it a go today, on our way to Blacktoft-Goole.

In the meantime, when you share create video file do you have the Same as First Video Clip option????????

Otherwise try making your own template Make Movie Template Manager to same as original video file, try the ADD option.

Hi Pat

Because Video Studio does not fully recognise the video format.
There are hundreds of types out there with camera manufactures creating new flavours all the time.
If you right click your clip and select Properties you will see that the name adjacent to the word compression is missing.
It should read H264 AVC or similar……….

All is not lost cos at least you can edit and play the video successfully.

What we really need to know is what you intend to make with your video.

A Dvd, BluRay, Upload to YouTube.

Give more details of what you are trying to do.
