VST X2 Crashing while rendering

I have followed this link very carefully to uninstall any trace of Apple software on my PC and reinstall Quicktime ONLY, and I still have the same problem. Please someone help me!!!

Hi everyone, hopefully you can assist me!

My computer specifications are in my profile.

I use VST X2 to edit for a homegrown sport known as Koneball. I have recently changed onto a laptop for editing from a friend's house, as he has moved across the country, so I can't use it any more. Before I used VST X2 on my friend's computer and everything worked fine. I have uploaded some of this material to YouTube, so you can get an idea of what VST X2 has to render:

The video file is recorded from my Panasonic Lumix as a .mov, 848x480, 30/fps, Data rate 11232kbps. The audio from this is at 256kbps bit rate, mono, and sampled at 16kHz. The audio is mp3, and the graphics you see on screen are .png, apart from the scoring which is an internal title. Everything is stored in folders on my hard drive, C:

I render the project the same as the project settings, which comes out as a PAL MPG, 720x576, 25/fps, Data rate 8000kbps. The audio is 1536kbps and is stereo, sampled at 48 kHz. The matches are usually 4-6 minutes long with mostly crossfade and the occasional mask as a goal transition.

Now though, I have issues when previewing the project at times, but I get round this by not previewing and dragging what I call the timepoint over to get a preview myself. When I have completed the project, I click Share... , Same as Project Settings, and it begins to render. Everytime I try to get a project rendered, it mostly crashes at different points in the project. This is what I get up most of the time:

At the first crash..

Code: Select all

  Problem Event Name:	APPCRASH
  Application Name:	vstudio.exe
  Application Version:	12.0.0.0
  Application Timestamp:	48c12aa3

I 'check online for a solution', then it brings up this:

Code: Select all

I have searched long and hard for a solution to this, including updating the graphics drivers to the latest version, downloading the patches from Corel, reading up about ntdll.dll, and I have no idea what is happening.

I have a lot of editing to do and I want to get this done ASAP, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Chris

Thank you, I guess that covers one error, does that mean the two are related?

Also, does this mean that I can't install iTunes? All my music is from the iTunes Store.

Try converting your video to wmv, your audio to wav and your stills to a bitmap format like tiff.
