Background eraser PSPro X
I keep the brush centre near to the object contour which usually works fine, but frequently I am left with a coloured thin line (not a halo) around for instance a persons arm in parts of it.What am I doing or not doing coerrectly..................Ken

There could be many causes the most likely is its a small image therefore Jpeg artifacts and Anialysing are the causes. In such cases make a selection around the item, Rectangular, Click the layer opaque to shrink it to just the item then contract a couple of pixels, Invert, delete.

Well after you have removed the background You should have transparency around it . Drag out a rectangular selection around it . Now left click in the centre of the selection. the marching ants will jump to just surrounding the image. Now do Selections, Modify, contract you should only need 1 or 2 pixels. Now you need to invert the selection so that its the space around the point of interest and delete it. Also you might find that you could avoid the white/ matting by adjusting the sharpness setting on the BG eraser. But you sometimes get this matting even when using selections So its a worthwhile trick to know
