SV Pro X2 playback too fast
I'm capturing from a Panasonic GS-15 Mini DV camcorder. After I capture and go to edit my video is under half the original size and playbacks in fast motion.

Sorry about that. I'm using USB and I have tried DV, AVI (RAW), MPEG-2 (DVD) with the same results.

Re: SV Pro X2 playback too fast
With a DV cam you MUST use a firewire cable connected to a firewire card. If you do not have one in your pc they are very affordable and super easy to install.

Look at the help, Press F1
Getting Started—Setting up your computer—Connecting a video camera to the computer. Shows how to connect via firewire (IEEE-1394)
Mini DV type camcorder.
The camera footage is recorded to tape as DV-Avi.
When you capture via firewire the video is transferred to the computer, there is no re-coding, what you have on the camera is what you get DV- Avi
Its a little like Downloading / Transferring except it is done in real time, whilst the tape plays.
View your pc’s device manager to see if you have IEEE 1394 Bus host controller. If yes, then all you need is a cable, usually 6 pin to 4 pin.
