What a disgrace the "customer support" department has become. Last week, after a couple of weeks of nothing but frustration with the new X3 product, I deleted it from my computer and sent a request to customer service asking for a refund. After not hearing anything back for three days, I filed a complaint with PayPal. Three more days go by - nothing from Corel. What an absolute joke. I've got a piece of software that's useless to me and one that I no longer have on my computer, yet they get to keep the coin? They've lost out on any future sales from me and I'm going to do all that I can to spread the word to as many people as I can about this situation.
Here's my email to them:
I’ve been a Corel customer for a number of years, opting for your Paint Shop product years ago due to price considerations. As time went on, I continued to update and use your products as opposed to others because I enjoyed working with them and they were quite easy to navigate. When I upgraded to the Paint Shop Pro XI release some time ago, I became concerned about the program’s memory usage. It seemed to take forever to start up! When I heard about the X3 product, I visited your site so that I could read about it and watch the available videos. I was sold and was particularly happy when I read that it was much faster loading than the earlier versions.
Boy, have I been disappointed! From the day that I first attempted to install it – July 8 – until today, I’ve had absolutely nothing but trouble. The installation hung up three times, so I had to reboot and reinstall. The installation process was an absolute joke – taking 30+ minutes each time! I’ve NEVER had such a horrendous install process before. The fourth time was the charm as it actually installed as it should have the first time. I figured with all the benefits of this new X3 version, the install hassles would be well worth it.
WRONG again! I’ve been able to get the program to open ONCE since I’ve had it installed. But when I opened and image to work on it, the X3 screen turned white and I had to crash out of the program. I’ve tried opening the program with no other programs open, but it simply doesn’t matter. Outside of the one successful attempt, the program open process hangs up along the way. It’s not always at the same spot during the install process, but when it hangs, the program just sits there and as a result, locks my computer up.
I used to have issues like this with other programs 15 years ago when I had sub standard hardware. But I’ve not seen an issue with a program using so much memory since those days. Heck, I often work with MSOffice and 7-8 other programs running at the same time without any issues whatsoever.
Fortunately, I’ve kept my XI version on my machine and am now back to using it. I’ve deleted the X3 version. Seeing as I simply cannot get the X3 program to work for me, and no longer have it on my hard drive, I’d like to request a refund be made to my PayPal account as soon as possible.
Thanks

Well...CALL THEM!!
I can't guarantee you'll have a good experience there, many have complained it's just as terrible (I've always gotten through and had my problems fixed quickly so I can't account for that) but it's faster than their email service (especially if they're busy with lots of other things) and you get to voice your complaints directly and get your accounts handled right then and there. No need to wait days between emails to get something settled.

Could you define your hardward a little better? It seems strange that you have 16GB of RAM yet you are using a 32-bit operating system.
Now using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
