brush size indicator on erasing.

Post by Ken Veal »

what can I do to stop the brush size indicator showing in various different places when I am using the background eraser tool in PSPro X.I have to keep going back to erase the shape of it left on the image. Can I change the brush icon to cross hairs, think that would make it easier to use in confined areas.

I have no idea what you're talking about. But in more confined areas you need to shrink the brush a little. So....just resize the brush manually. You should always make small brush strokes to prevent having to redo a whole lot of it. And don't switch between this and other tools so if the brush erases a little from the character you're working on. Right-click to unerase portions. Also duplicate the image onto its own layer before you start erasing. This is very helpful because you can then clone the original image onto the new layer to make up for any errors you can't fix by unerasing.

When I set the brush size and shape it will show that size and shape on the image, I alter the size by Alt and dragging. When I am erasing elsewhere in the image very often that (for instance ) square will show up some where and I have to go back over it to erase the square it left on the image

If you mean what I think you mean then zoom in and out as in Hit the Plus key on the numerical pad followed by the Minus key Or anything else that would cause the screen to be rewritten Like scrolling with the hand cursor
