First be patient about my english. I would try to explain what is my problem and I hope you can help me.
I always take images with my digital cam and I mix them with a great program called SSMM. The output is an AVI file encoded in DV format Type 1 (or 2: I do not remember). With many files of these type I mix them in MS7. Sometimes I need to slow down or speed up the video so as to reach the audio file extension. When I do so, the resulting final video file (DV type also), the photos shake (or flicker?) making the image like being out of focus. Apart from destrying your eyes trying to see those pictures, the final result is not good to show. When I do not speed or slow, the images look perfect. Do you know what is the problem ? Is it possible that MS7 is done to mix videos (slowing and speeding) and not to slow or speed videos of photos ? Thanks in advance

Did you apply the MSP7 patches? There was an issue with still images flickering in the first release of MSP. This has since been fixed. Another way to overcome the flicker, especially in images with a lot of detail, like roof tiles, trees and bushes is to add a little vertical motion blurr to the image, 2 pixels wide was enough in my case.
Another question, why do you use another program to create an AVI file of your clips? In MSP you can put a piece of music on the time line, add cues where you want your images to change and let MSP put your images, at the right length, onto the time line. Then you create your AVI or MPG file and you are done?

The software SSMM I use, is great for a quick procedure and for excellent effects between images. Try to use it and then please tell me.
I will install the patches you told me. Thanks in advance. I will make a feedback when I do this.
PD: The avi I create does not flicker. Only flickers in the final avi made by MSP7 when I speed up or slow down the avi with images previoulsy done with SSMM.
I always add music in MSP7 and with this matter I sometimes have not
