Have been practicing with the programme and all goes well . . . The problem is that having created a project on the PC with a Main Menu followed by a Menu with 5 chapters, then making a DVD, its about 27 minutes long, then comes the hassle.
Playing this DVD in a standard DVD player it is proving mind boggling to get from the Main Menu to the Chapter menu and then navigating to each chapter. I took it to three people today and just asked them to play it. They played it, but not one saw the Chapter menu (or knew it was there, and even after explaining that there was on it took a lot of playing about on their remotes to get there and then to work out how to navigate these chapters.
Is there a 'magic secret and/or are all remote controls different? It's proving a real pain. Is it possible to not use a Main Menu but to just have the menu with the chapters display as soon as the disc is inserted?
Advice please.

What type of menu are you using, Smartscene, Thumbnail or Text? The small "thumbnail" video that appears on your Main menu, is a button when clicked on should then take you to your Chapter menu. If the Play-all button (arrow) is selected, then the video will play from the start all the way through, unless choosing one of the Menu options from the remote. Top Menu should take you back to the Main menu, while Menu should take you to the Chapter menu.

Thanks Ron for taking the trouble to reply to my query. Sorry I haven’t been back earlier but I have been trying to resolve my problems this end. This I have done in one respect in that on placing the finished DVD in a stand alone player I can get the menu showing all the chapters with thumbnails showing right away and it’s now easy to navigate these thumbnail menus on the TV remote. However a couple of different thing arise that I need advice on.
The first is that although I have set MF6 to show my material as 16x9 (as it was recorded) and the menus do this, the windows in MF6 only show as 4x3. I thought no more on this as my test DVD played correctly on my stand-alone DVD player. I then tried this disc on a couple of PC DVD playing programmes and they shown the menus alright as 16x9 but amazingly the programme only showed as 4x3. It may appear that I have missed something in the settings of MF6 but I can’t seem to discover what. Can you offer help on this one please? Pete.
