Trouble with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5.6
Hey everyone! I have just created a project on MovieFactory 5.6, and I what to know how to play it back on my computer without burning it to a disc. How do I do that? Help Needed ASAP!!! I am on a deadline!
Re: Trouble with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5.6
When you get to the "burning" step, you should see some choices...
Un-check the box that says Create To Disc, and check the box that says Create DVD/HD-DVD Folders.
That will create the VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS folders on your hard drive, instead of burning these folders/files on a blank DVD. You can play those folders with your DVD-player software just like you would play a DVD (complete with functioning menus, etc.).
Later, if you want to make a DVD, you can simply burn these folders onto a blank disc.
If you don't want to create a DVD structure, but you just want to save video files to play on your computer, you can "Export Clips". (Although, that's more like a job for a video editor than for a DVD authoring program like Movie Factory.)

That won't get you an answer any faster... The forum is like an "electronic bulletin board"... People stop-by and leave messages. Later, somebody stops-by and reads your message. If they can can answer you, they will usually answer as soon as they read your message.Help Needed ASAP!!! I am on a deadline!

Ok, thanks
now, if the Create Disc button is grayed out... what do I do?
Re: Trouble with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5.6
That should be OK, since you don't want to create (burn) a disc... You wanted to Create DVD Folders on your hard drive.now, if the Create Disc button is grayed out... what do I do?
Or, is this a new issue?

Umm, well there is no Create DVD Folder button just a Create Disc button which is grayed out, and a Power Off PC when completed button. Over to the far right of where the 'Create DVD' is greyed out, is there a big, downward pointing double arrow? If there is, then click on it and you should now be presented with active entries for 'Create DVD folder' and 'Create ISO Disc Image' or words to the effect. Choose the former.
