back ground eraser PSPro X

Think I need some clarification here.Is the backgound eraser tool the same thing as the precision back ground eraser tool cos I cant find out how to access the latter.I have used the normal eraser tool to make the backgound transparent by tracing around people then using the brush and back space to remove the rest of the background.The brush has not got the cross hairs in it and the other settings I have read about in the Jasc tutorial are eluding me.
My wish is to then change the background by using a jpeg image.Can some one please advise me on this-remember I am new to this. ...........Ken

Yes, the background eraser is the same as the precision background eraser brush.

ok, thanks for that.So how do I access settings like limits conrol, discontiguous etc

They should be in your tool properties toolbar.
